Weighing 160 grams, this device will sport 5″ display like its predecessor that will boast full HD resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and a pixel density of 440ppi.

Inside, running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the latest Sense UI 5 skin on top, butterfly S  is equipped with a quad-core 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is expandable through a microSD card slot.

The smartphone follows HTC One’s bequest of a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera “the Zoe camera” software feature along with 2.1-megapixel front facing camera with an 88 degree wide-angle lens.

Connectivity options includes quadband WCDMA and GSM/EDGE, along with WiFi a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0 and aptX. There’s NFC, GPS, and GLONASS too with infrared remote control.

However HTC has packed this device with battery capacity of 3,200 mAh that is 40% bigger than HTC one along with quad-band HSPA/WCDMA radio.

Other than all specifications, this device also included BoomSound, the dual-speaker system mounted on the front of the phone and two dedicated amplifiers complimented by Beats Audio integration with Blinkfeed

So far, after HTC One, HTC Butterfly S seems to be the next major launch from the Taiwanese firm. It could be concluded simply that the processor on-board, the battery capacity and the microSD expansion features might be an additional advantage for certain users making this device better than HTC One.

However, this device will be released in Taiwan carrying a price tag of NT $766 in colors of red, white, black and grey sometime in July. Though, there is no information regarding to its availability or pricing of the device in other territories.
